Hi. My name is Kelly and I have been battling idiopathic GP for 8 years. I was diagnosed after I had a surgery , which may or may not have been the cause. I have 4 wonderful children and they, along with my husband, family and friends have made this journey a bit more bearable. I have had 9 surgeries to keep things at bay including the gastric pacemaker which became infected, along with every other option for GP. I am on TPN for the rest of my life and can take small sips of liquids, which help with caloric intake. The challenges of GP will be something I will always have to live with but along with my amazing team of doctors and support from my family, I wake up each day ready to take on new challenges and cherish the days where I have strength and the fight to never give up.

We created this website to provide the public with additional information regarding Gastroparesis. It is our goal to connect users with our Facebook advocacy group, “Gastroparesis: Fighting for Change.”
Our Gastroparesis: Fighting for Change Facebook group was formed to unite people with Gastroparesis and other digestive and motility disorders to work for change. It is not a typical GP support group, as we do not discuss personal medical issues. Rather, we established this as a place where members can discuss ideas regarding our mission, vision, goals, needs, services, and resources to work toward solutions. So if you want to make a difference for our GP community, we encourage you to share your ideas! Additionally, we need you to help us fight for changes in legislation! Also, you can help raise funds! Finally, you can help spread awareness! Please join our main group. We would love to have you!
You can find links to our Community Page and our Advocacy Group on our Resources Tab.
In order to accomplish our goals, we will be sharing many ways you can get involved on our Campaigns Tab.

I was diagnosed with Gastroparesis 13 yrs ago. My life has not been the same since then.
I’ve lost so very much to Gastroparesis along with a part of myself. The uncontrollable and dibilatating nausea, vomiting, the fire in my throat down from acid reflux ,the spasms in my stomach so bad that I double over in pain. The malnutrition ,the weight loss that most would ignore, has me worried that iam starving slowly.I’ve cried to many tears to count now. I’ve prayed for Gods healing hand.
This is a terrible way to have to struggle through life.
Iam NOT living anymore , I bearly exist. #pleasefindacure,
