Gastroparesis: Fighting for Change

There are variations in the symptoms and levels of severity of gastroparesis. Some experience only mild or limited symptoms, while others experience quite severe symptoms and resulting complications. In any case, a list of symptoms and complications cannot paint the full picture of the life-altering, often debilitating, and sometimes life-threatening nature of GP. We rely on our GP storytellers to share their struggles and more accurately portray the genuine patient experience. Many thanks to the #gpchangemakers who open up their lives and share the most intimate details of their hardships so that others may more fully understand the impact of #gastroparesis.#CureGP

Gastroparesis: Fighting for Change

Gastroparesis Awareness Month – August 2026Every year, Gastroparesis: Fighting for Change supports Gastroparesis awareness by engaging in a themed campaign designed to highlight our community’s issues, needs, and goals. This year’s theme, "Champions of Change," celebrates the efforts of all the fabulous advocates who fight to make a difference for our GP community. We encourage you to share memes, graphics, photos, factual information, events, and your stories using the hashtag #GPChangemakers. We begin with a brief definition of Gastroparesis and celebrate all the champions who raise awareness of this life-altering illness. ********************************************************************** Please follow our public community page, Gastroparesis: Fighting for Change, for information and further details about upcoming Gastroparesis Awareness Month events!Together, we can make a difference. Stand up, speak out, and demand better!#CureGP #Gastroparesis
