Gastroparesis: Fighting for Change

SURVEY: Gastroparesis and GI Motility Disorders Patient Support App (Link in text body) KeepnAI is building an app that I believe might be useful to the GP community. It is designed to work alongside healthcare teams to give people personalized, day-to-day guidance on eating, nutrition, hydration, and medication routines. The co-founder, Dr. Yosi Gozlan, has developed a survey to gauge our interest and needs. He would like to learn about your experiences, the support you currently receive, and what kinds of additional support, if any, would be useful to you. The survey is anonymous and takes less than 10 minutes to complete. At the end of the survey, you will be asked if you would also be interested in beta testing the app for free. If so, you will then be directed to a separate contact form. Here is the link to the survey: tally.so/r/q54ljGThank you for your help!

Gastroparesis: Fighting for Change

We are hearing reports from community members whose batteries have died and who need replacement parts, so I thought this was worth reposting. This is quite a hardship for the Gastroparesis community and must be resolved quickly. My members have few alternatives; they are concerned, and that concern grows as this drags on and more people are impacted. We need updates and options. If you have or plan to get the gastric stimulator, please be aware of 2 issues that may impact your care: 1. Key components of the current model are unavailable (can no longer be purchased, and supplies have been exhausted).2. The newer model is under ongoing FDA review. No approval date is yet available. Please do not hesitate to contact your physicians to discuss your options if you are affected by this. Also, you have a right to seek additional information and advocate for yourself by contacting Enterra and/or the FDA directly.#gastroparesis #CureGP U.S. Food and Drug AdministrationEnterra Medical, Inc.

Gastroparesis: Fighting for Change

"These findings identify gastroparesis as an increasingly recognized comorbidity in patients with heart failure that may represent a high-risk phenotype. The observed associations further suggest that venous congestion and impaired splanchnic perfusion may contribute to the development of gastric dysmotility in this population."
