PARTICIPATION OPPORTUNITYThe University of Auckland seeks participants for a new mental well-being study. Information is as follows:"We are inviting young people aged 12-17 years with chronic stomach symptoms to take part in a study validating a new mental well-being measure.Participation will involve completing a 15-minute online questionnaire, which is completely anonymous. This questionnaire will involve completing a series of questions asking about your general demographics, stomach symptoms, and mental health.At the end of the survey, you will be given the opportunity to go into the prize draw to have a chance at winning 1 of 2 $50NZD e-vouchers (which will be converted to your local currency).To take part you must be 12-17 years of age and be able to read and write fluently in English. You must also experience chronic stomach symptoms, such as● Nausea/upset stomach● Vomiting/throwing up● Stomach pain, ache, or burning● Feeling uncomfortably full or inability to finish a normal-sized meal● Burping/belching or farting and a swollen stomach● Food coming back up into your mouthOr have been told you have any of the following conditions● Gastroparesis or delayed emptying● Functional/chronic nausea● Functional/chronic vomiting● Cyclic vomiting syndrome● Rumination syndrome● Aerophagia● Functional dyspepsiaThe first questions of the survey will assess your eligibility for the study and let you know if you can continue.
